The CSP Tracing Utility

• If you are using one of the CryptoAPI Discussion List patches for advapi32.dll, don't register your CSP with an external 'Signature' value in the registry.  Doing so will bypass the patch when your CSP is being traced, resulting in an Invalid Signature error in the CSP Loading Log.  (Released CSPs with valid external signatures will continue to work.)  Instead, register your CSP as though it had an internal signature.
• When running The CSP Tracing Utility on the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system, it will report that it cannot access the tracing files.  A simple work-around is available.  Click here for full instructions.
